The Sales Operations Manager supports the National Accounts and Internal Sales teams by overseeing operational processes related to distribution partners, including Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), their marketers, and agents. This role acts as a key operational link between Sales, National Accounts, and internal operations teams to ensure efficient case management, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of the sales support process. The position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving case processing timelines, and enhancing the overall experience for external distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational contact for IMOs, marketers, and agents regarding case status, documentation requirements, and issue resolution.
- Manage and monitor pending cases, addressing Not In Good Order (NIGO) items, processing exceptions, and other operational issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide proactive updates on case progress to Sales, National Accounts, and external distribution partners.
- Identify operational bottlenecks or recurring issues and collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements that streamline workflows and reduce rework.
- Support National Accounts and Sales teams by responding to case-related inquiries and ensuring operational requests are handled efficiently.
- Track case activity and performance metrics to improve turnaround times and overall service delivery across the distribution channel.
- Partner with internal teams to enhance operational processes and support broader sales enablement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in sales operations, insurance operations, or financial services support roles.
- Experience working with Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), distribution partners, or similar sales channels strongly preferred.
- Background supporting national accounts or complex distribution relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes and drive efficiency within sales or operations environments.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, and workflow or case management systems.
